As we get busier over here at the studio, I’m finding it increasingly difficult to keep on top of everything. Over the last few months I’ve found some really cool apps that have become indispensable to my day to day business and marketing activities so I thought I’d share them here:
This talk by the Swiss Miss herself was given for the Typo International Design. It got me thinking quite a lot in the last week or so. She’s also a Mom running her own design business, but unlike a typical design studio who takes on client work, she’s managed to become successful by turning side projects into revenue. Her talk has reminded me to continually re-evaluate my goals. When we set goals, we make them for the person we are at that time. But as we move towards those goals and reach t
I had heard a lot about the famous creative studio called Digital Kitchen but it took me until now to finally check out their website directly. They have studios in Chicago, Seattle and LA and the work they produce is absolutely mind blowing. You have got to check out the installation they created for the Cosmopolitan in Vegas. Here is a studio who is mindful in their use of the digital arts. This looks more like a gallery installation than a hotel lobby. This is art. This is the kind of

This is a quick post for today. We’ve been extra busy here at the studio – lots of marketing strategy getting planned and business accounting getting done. The dry business side can sure bog down the creative brain, but here are some cool Logo reveals I found on Vimeo that have perked me up a bit and given my creativity a second wind. Hope you enjoy them too!
The process of making a web video for promotion or instruction can be illusive. Especially if you’ve never been exposed to the production process. An effective animation or video gives the impression creating something amazing is quite simple. Information flows easily and ideas communicate quickly through simple moving images. It can’t be that difficult to create, can it?
At the heart of Image Propeller Studios’ work is the necessity of creative process. Our last post outlined Sandra’s methods behind her latest 3D Logo Reveal, and the road she took from idea to final product. For Sandra, the process was one of visualization. Seeing the idea as an image, and building a story from there.
